“The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.” -Scott Peck

I have worked as a psychotherapist in private practice for over ten years and have a wide variety of clinical experience with adults, children, adolescents and families. I specialize in women’s issues and am passionate about helping women reconnect with themselves.

I am a warm, accepting, supportive and nonjudgmental therapist who is committed to helping women make peace with food and their bodies. It is my belief, that if we listen to the inherent wisdom of our bodies we can gain a greater understanding of ourselves and our lives as women.

Therapy is akin to an inner journey, one of identifying and honoring your feelings. Once we are able to hear what our body needs we then can learn to care for ourselves in a forgiving, healthy and generous way. For many, coming to therapy can seem like a leap of faith in that it asks you to trust in something and someone new and unknown. I do not take my role as a therapist lightly but see it as a privilege to witness the courage that people have when they look honestly and gently at themselves. Thank you for your trust.

I hold a Masters in Art Therapy from Concordia and I am a graduate of a Post-Masters Program specializing in Marital and Family Therapy. I am an approved clinical member of the OPTSQ ( L’Ordre Professionnel des Travailleurs Sociaux du Quebec) and carry full professional liability insurance. I have been trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches and have worked in the public sector in hospitals, CLSC’s, residential treatment centers, wellness centers and schools in the fields of child and adult psychiatry, addictions, oncology and sexual assault. I am located in the NDG area and my office hours are Tuesday through Thursday.
