I am a psychotherapist and clinical social worker working with individuals, couples and families.  I use a mindfulness-based approach to help clients stay present with emotions as they arise and trust their bodies at a deeper level. I help clients to become more aware of unhealthy behavioral and thought patterns and how coming to a place of acceptance can be a liberating experience and the first steps of healing.

I have worked for over 13 years in the field of the healing arts and have participated in professional training under the direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, a leading figure in the development of mindfulness within the West. I have also trained in psychotherapy at the Marital and Family Clinic of the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) while obtaining my Masters of Social Work from McGill University. I have multiple years of experience providing psychotherapy and support to patients in the departments of obstetrics, oncology as well as adult and child psychiatry at the JGH. I was awarded the McGill Alumni Award for Clinical Excellence in 2010 and am an affiliate therapist with several of the largest Employee Assistant Programs in North America.

I am the author of the book Thai Yoga Therapy (http://store NULL.innertraditions NULL.com/Contributor NULL.jmdx?action=displayDetail&id=1516) (Inner Traditions, 2006) and am a yoga teacher, a Thai yoga massage specialist and an Ayurvedic counsellor. I have taught Mindfulness, yoga and Ayurvedic workshops at several internationally known yoga centers and runs an 8 week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program.

I see clients in Outremont and at the Sedona Centre in NDG. I am a member of the Order of Social Workers and the Academy of Naturopaths and Naturotherapists of Canada and can issue professional receipts for insurance purposes upon request.
